Description

Some nice galaxies in this field.

NGC 4622 (also called Backward galaxy) Mag 12.6 Size 1'.7 × 1'.6 and is about 111 million light years away and is an example of a galaxy with leading spiral arms where each spiral arm winds away from the center of the galaxy and ends at an outermost tip that "points" away from the arm.  The outer arms of NGC 4622 are instead leading spiral arms, meaning the tips of the spiral arms point towards the direction of disk rotation. This may be the result of a gravitational interaction between NGC 4622 and another galaxy or the result of a merger between NGC 4622 and a smaller object.
NGC 4603 Mag 11.3 Size 02'37.98" x +0°01'31 is a spiral galaxy located about 107 million light years away. NGC 4650 is a Lenticular Galaxy Mag 13.9 1'.6 × 0'.8

I manged to more than double by frame count last night and that allowed me to use Generalised Extreme Studentized Deviate Integration instead of Winsorized Sigma Clipping and that makes a huge difference.

Centaurus holds some amazing fields of galaxy clusters. Time to move on.
